§ 20.08.075. Submittal requirements for properties adjacent to the shoreline.

  • A.

    An applicant for either grubbing permit or a grading permit for work on properties adjacent to the shoreline shall, in addition to the items required by section 20.08.060 or by section 20.08.070, submit the following:

    1.

    If a coastal dune is located on the property, a written evaluation and a map determining the limits of the coastal dune prepared by a coastal scientist, or an engineer with experience in coastal processes. The determination of the limits of the coastal dune shall be subject to the approval of the director.

    2.

    If a special management area permit is required by the department of planning, a copy of the permit shall be submitted with the application.

    3.

    A plot plan clearly showing the limits of the shoreline setback area as determined by the department of planning, and the limits of the coastal dune as provided by subsection A.l.

    B.

    The plot plan shall also state:

    1.

    All construction related conditions of the special management area permit.

    2.

    That the importation and placement of soil is prohibited within the shoreline area as defined by chapter 205A-41, Hawaii Revised Statutes, except for sand as defined in this chapter.

    3.

    That grading of the coastal dune is prohibited pursuant to section 20.08.035.
