§ 20.08.190. Cut slopes.

Under the following soil conditions, no cut may be steeper in slope than the ratio of its horizontal to its vertical distance as shown below:
A.

One fourth horizontal to one vertical in rock;

B.

One half horizontal to one vertical in mud rock or decomposed rock;

C.

One horizontal to one vertical in rock and clay mixture;

D.

One and one half horizontal to one vertical in sandy and clayey soils.
